Mozying around the intarwebs, I stumbled upon this work. What a pretty song! And a lovely dance. It's a bit strange to hear a different tempo when you're already used to one, but anyway, thought I would share the pretties...

To all those named a name pronounced the same way as "Sarah" and whom I am not well acquainted with, but may be in the future, I would like to apologize in advance as there are five(5) Sarras in my phone contacts and even more whose numbers I do not know or do not care to know but have to interact with them anyway. This means I will ask repeatedly for your name until I get to be well acquainted with you, because each time I think your name is Sara, I will doubt myself and think it's just such a common name that I'm sticking it to every gal whose name I do not know.
Matt is another name getting up there, just to warn y'all.

Hullo all,
Could someone please give another definition for "off-color", particularly in reference to a joke?
I was told I made two "off-color" jokes today, but when I looked the term up, I came up with this.
Merriam-Webster says it's a joke that is verging on indecent.
Urban dictionary.com says it's
1."crude, vulgar, tasteless or sexual"
or
2. "Just completely irrelevant. Unaware or oblivious to all of the matter at hand"

I made the jokes in reference to statements immediately after they were spoken, so it's not definition 2 from urbandictionary. They could be tasteless, but the people who said this are kind and I doubt they would tell me they were tasteless even if they were stupidest things they ever heard. I guess the joke about near-death experience could be verging on indecent, since real near-death experiences are not funny, but there's no way those terms could refer to my second joke, about winning a race. So could someone please point me in the direction of another definition?

Thanks in advance!
~Mushroom

I just consciously made note of something today...
It's strange how if a gal is dancing and her skirt is so short or just so billowy (and she spins so fast) that it flies up and her rear end area (whether in shorts or a leotard type bottom) is visible, it is generally viewed as perfectly okay or even a positive thing -- like she's talented at spinning. On the other hand, if that same area becomes visible through a "wardrobe malfunction", such as her skirt accidentally getting caught and sliding down, it's viewed in a more negative light.
Sad.
Thoughts, anyone?

Don't you just love those itty bitty things that make all the difference (in grammar)?

While I had a moment to myself here at work, I decided to find a cute picture to send to someone and stumbled upon the picture used in the following posters.
I don't look for these things, but the puppy's posture gives it away. Sorry if anyone is unsettled.
In any case, the first thing that came to my shocked mind became the first caption, followed shortly by the others in a less shock-induced and more joking sort of manner.

I know it, you know it, I know you know it -- you want some cute and cuteoverload.com just isn't enough anymore. Check it out.
It's cutethingsfallingasleep.org
I highly recommend "SLEEPY KITTEN 30", aka Sleepy Coco, a little more than 3 quarters of the way down the first page, as of this post.
Squee!

EDIT: Yawns are and sleepiness can be contagious. Something also contagious is laughter. For that (a more work-friendly thing to be infected with), visit http://www.cutethingslaughing.com/
Warning: this one is full of human babies, though.

No, it's not really important to anyone else, but I felt like sharing the video, even though most people have probably already seen it.

I don't now whether it is true or not, but I have heard that this song had something to do Yuri Gagarin, first person in space, whether it was in his honor, inspired by him or for him. I don't really know, but it sure would make sense to me. This is not the original singer, but I prefer her.

I know this doesn't always apply to one or the other, or maybe isn't true, but just out of curiousity stemming from a thought I had...
Here's what you do, read the word and mark the choice you associate that word with more, first impulse. I know not everyone associates them with one or the other, but if you had to choose...

I like the idea and some of the words. :)
Foreword: Yes, I do think some of dancers look a bit, er, silly, at times...
In particular, I like the idea "In the sky, the sky I cannot see". The idea is indeed simple, but pretty, in my opinion.

The video is just zooming in and out and moving around of this somewhat awkard photo... But anyway. I like the sing-along-ability and there's just something about the sound...

Even if you're not hugely into Talent shows, even if you're not hugely into music, I really strongly recommend you watch this.
I promise it's not another crazy Russian song...

Okay, I can't embed it. Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-ZjOEk4-dI
EDIT: Sorry for anyone who saw my attempt at embedding -- the chipmunks were not what was intended... The thing appears to have something disabling embedding...
